Nanas Tomato Sauce with Meatballs and Sausage
The easiest slow cooker Italian sauce recipe you'll ever make! Comforting, simple and delicious.
Meatballs (gluten free), Optional to add prepmade sausage
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 3 Tablespoons Almond Flour
- 1 Egg
- 1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
- Handful fresh parsley and basil (optional but highly recommend )
- 2 Cans Crushed Tomatoes
- 3 Tablespoons Tomato Paste
- 1 Medium Onion Cut in Half
- 1 handful fresh basil
- 1 handful fresh parsley
- 2 Cloves Garlic chopped finely
Preheat oven to 350. In a large mixing bowl combine all ingredients (I usually do this by hand with gloves on) Roll into small balls about 1.5-2" in diameter, transfer to a baking sheet.
Add Sausage to sheet (optional) and Bake for 25 minutes. Transfer to sauce. It's ok if they are not fully cooked, they will finish while in the sauce.
Add all ingredients plus salt and pepper to slow cooker, set to low for 6 hours. Stir occasionally, making sure to be careful of the meatballs.
When all finished, remove the onion, add more salt, pepper if needed. Serve over pasta of choice. Leftovers of the sauce can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months in an airtight container or class storage. Simply thaw, reheat and add over freshly cooked pasta.
